Goodbye Summer (Almost)
Since I'm too lazy to do an actual post, I'm just going to list things that I should've posted, but didn't...until now that is. Summer fun stuff:
1. Northern California trip for Lola Mary's 100th - which I kept calling Lola Mary's wedding. Hrm.

2. Training with Mr. T - I don't really know if this actually counts as "fun" but I'll put it in for all the suffering I've been through.
3. Lobsterfest at San Pedro - we used an older lady so we could cut in line. Sadness. The things ppl do to get food.
4. Justin Timberlake's Future Sex Love Sound Concert - who knew that it would be awesome?!
5. Angel's Game - I just went for the hot dogs and nachos...oh and the 7th inning stretch! Brends got us free seats that were really, really close to the field.
6. Spa Hopping for some tranquility.

7. Mark & Grace's Wedding :) I can't find my camera, so I don't actually own pics of this :/

Sweat Drips, Blue Lips
So, last week was my first week back since winter break. If you want to really know what happened during Christmas, you should either call me or read Cheese's blog. Anyways, so last week was the first week I was back in school. I think I had a cold from the babies I visited last Christmas or real bad allergies or something. My first day back was Wednesday and my anatomy groupies and I were dissecting Minnie (our cadaver) and then Gerald says, "Wow. You must not be feeling so good." And, I'm like, "Why?" He's like, "You're sweating profusely." And I touch my forehead and my neck and I was sweating like Ballzee would on a normal day. That's a lot if you don't know. I just remember being really, really HOT. (In more ways than one, of course) I kept telling myself no blue lips, no blue lips. So what'd I get? Sweaty. At least I didn't faint this time. This story has no point whatsoever.
But, before I forget, I'd like to make a shout out to The Duddy: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :) YAY.

Science is Golden
I took this physiology exam today and I went to the classroom all early and no one was there. So, I started freakin' out 'cause people are always there early. I was thinking: maybe the test was at 7:30 in the morning and I missed it 'cause I thought it was at 1:10 in the afternoon...maybe I'm at the wrong building. Ah! Maybe it was yesterday! What the hell is today anyways??! So, I started calling random people to ask them where's the exam gonna be and no one was picking up! And, I'm like, they must be taking the test NOW and I'm totally missing it! That is until waaay later I found out people were in this mandatory core class (that I'm not in obviously) and that's why they weren't picking up their phone. *sigh* Oh drama mia!
So, I took the physio test and came out of that classroom thinking it was brutal. Hekka BRUTAL and bitch slapped me too. That is until I checked my grade and TEEEEE-DEEEE (pronounce like a tah-dah, but a tee-dee) I so bitch slapped that exam! Hehe. Science is truly golden.

Grown up & Almost Done with the 20s
Well, okay I don't know about grown up, but almost I guess. Five minutes to go before my day is over. All in all, it was a good day. The twenty or so messages I had in my phone was more than enough to make me feel loved. Aaaaw. (Although none of them were kinky. I should be thankful "Loquacious the Stalker" stopped calling me).
Quick & dirrty review of what I did: I skipped OMM lab table training because the freshmen have a practical today. Anatomy lab went well even though I can feel the stress people are in. And, dinner with friends at PF Chang's was the BEST! Birfdae greetings in between we really nice too, heh compared to last year when I completely forgot it was my birfdae.
Today is the start of a new year! Well, for me at least. Thanks again friends & family :)

Spinning with Cat
So, today me and my crazy self decided to join her for spinning. But, since we had to be there 30 minutes before the spinning class started, we briskly walked for thirty and spun for an hour. Oh my ghetto booty hurts! I just didn't wanna be the girl who sat down when everyone was spinning not sitting down. But, the good news is my lips did not turn blue and I did not pass out. YAY self!!! Now, I'm committed to going with Cat every Wednesday and Sunday to spin. Go booty!
Shout out to the Mummy: HAPPY BIRTHDAY THE MUMMY! :)
I don't have a nice picture of the mummy to post, so sorry.

APAMSA National Conference
Rose & I went to Northwestern University to attend the APAMSA National Conference today. Pretty interesting stuff.
What my little A.D.D. mind got (in a nutshell) from this whole experience is that Asians are more prone to acquire the Hepatitis B Virus and they are more likely to get liver & stomach cancer. Yay me for paying attention and learning two lil' tidbits!
Rose made these cute little business cards so that we could pass it to cute boys that we see. But, sadness there weren't any.
Check out our website!

Pancit Pow Wow
Today my Filipino friends from school and I went out for dinner to this Filipino restaurant called Cebu about 10 minutes away from school. Finding that place was soooo dangerous. We ordered the usual crispy pata, palabok, lumpia, adobo, calderetta, turon, leche flan, and halo-halo. MMmMMmmMmmm. Man, you'd think we were starving or something. This is the first time I went out with friends to a Filipino restaurant.
The place was nice and quaint, but the food was a little pricey for Filipino food, and the portions small. It said on the menu that Cebu Restaurant is a "Euro-Asian Cuisine." I'm thinking Euro 'cause the portions are small and asian 'cause it's filipino food. But, 'cause we were totally craving food from home we went all out and ordered almost everything. So, now my tummy is full and I'm happy.
A note on the weather: Man it's cold & rainy today. Illinois weather is weird. There's no transition period..just hot & humid then really cold.

The Beginning of a New Organization
So my friends Rose, Rachna, Hazel and I decided to start this organization in our school. It's called APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Organization). It's a national organization and we want to start our own chapter in our school. I know what you people are thinking...But, we're going to make it not so asian, rather aim it towards promoting health, performing medical community service in underserved areas, and increase cultural awareness. Don't I sound so professional?
We planned our first quarter activities and set meeting dates during dinner at a persian restaurant called Reza's. Then we made lil' posters for the organization fair tomorrow and we're passing out jello lychees and fortune cookies (yes, you got it! the "asian" part of our organization). Aren't we creative? Yesss.
As a side note: I took home left overs from the restaurant and the food was real yummy, but now it smells like farts. And NO it's NOT me. I so checked!
