Dreaming of Tattoos

A few days ago I had this dream I got a tattoo on my right arm. It was a colored tattoo of an ugly samurai girl surrounded by flowers that went all the way up to my shoulder. I dreamt that getting the tattoo didn't hurt at all. In fact, I didnt even feel anything. Then, the person charged me $225 dollars for it. Why? I dunno. After getting the tattoo, I was saying, "Oh my gosh!!! Why would I get it on my arm?! I can never go to any formal events! There's a stupid samurai on my arm! Why didn't I get it on my lower back?!?! I knew I should've stuck to getting a rose!" Gosh, so much regret. Now, I know...don't get a tattoo of an ugly samurai girl with flowers on my right arm.

Psychic To the Future

Vince: Hey, you wanna go see a psychic?
Me: Heck ya!

Vince: Google one up and let's go!

Me: Okaaaay.

Vince and I drive far, far, away to a city called Naperville at 9 o'clock at night. And, we get to this house. Not a commercial building, but a freakin' house to see a psychic. So, I park my car in a position that's best for a clean get-a-way in case we get abducted by these psychics. And, I make Vince ring the doorbell because I don't wanna be the one who gets grabbed by the neck once the door opens....

Then, the door opens and there's this lady that looks like a gypsy and a scrawny dog that clearly needs to be neutered. I'm like, hi we called Steve and he said he can do a psychic reading for us tonight. And the lady is like, come in. In my head, I'm like, crap...we are so gonna get abducted, but I want a psychic reading! Hrm...psychic reading or abducted? Psychic reading it is!!!!

So, Vince and I are in the house and then Gypsy lady calls Steve to get his bum down the stairs 'cause there's two people here for a psychic reading. And, I'm thinking in my head. This is so funny and so not real.

So, Steve and Gypsy lady separate me and Vince 'cause we can't do our reading together 'cause they said our thoughts will interfere with their reading. Gypsy lady tells Vince to go in this little room with a bunch of these pyschic clutter in it. And, I'm just happy that I wasn't the one sent in a little room. I got to sit in the dining room with Steve who was gonna read my mind and do tarot cards.

So, Steve tells me to say my first name three times and my birthday once. And he's suppose to be reading my mind or something. I really wasn't sure. And then he tells me a bunch of things.
And he's like, you like to work with your mind and hands. Hrm...thanks Steve. You are a happy person who likes...say it with me..friendship, honesty, love, communication. Hrm...

And then we do the tarot cards. And he makes me cut the deck once towards me. He's like you want to hear good and bad yes? I'm like of course. Whatevers. So, Steve goes on with the mind and hands again. You like to work with your mind and hands he says. Thank you Steve.

So, we're reading the cards and here's what he basically said:

1. I will have two kids

2. I will marry someone with a j or an m in their name (and I still don't know if it's starting with a j or m or whatever. But, yeah that sure narrows some people down)

3. I will marry someone who is not a doctor or a lawyer, but is not a blue collar worker...someone educated who can take care of me...someone between the height of 5'6'' to 5'9'' (So specific Steve. lol)

4. I should take more walks. Not only in life he says, but along a body of water. Hrm.

5. I should buy a car that's not black

6. I have an eye for color and I like to work with my mind and hands (What's up with the mind & hands?)

7. I will get a job in 60 days

8. Summer will be a time of huge, huge decisions for me

9. I like friendship, but I don't have lots of friends (lol)

10. And then I got a key for my last card and he's like doors are opening.

At the end of my psychic session Steve was like, you will have a question for me on or before Wednesday. Give me a call no charge. Can you say scary? And he's like write an emergency number down here. And I'm thinking crap! I'm gonna die soon. Why must it be an emergency number?!?! He's like, I will meditate on you and I will call you if something crucial comes up. Yikes!

Vince's experience was a little different and freakier. He was holding some kind of crystal ball and Gypsy lady was closing her eyes and holding this crystal wand and everytime he thought about something, she stopped twitching, opened her eyes and said his thoughts out loud. I'm just happy I didn't get her. I wouldn't be able to sleep.

I'm Baaack

YAY! I'm so back in California!!! And, I don't know what to do with myself because I'm so used sitting all day long and studying. Bleh. Bleh. Daily routine as of now is this:

Wake up
Breakfast
Workout
TV/Read/Phone
Lunch
Find something else to do
Eat dinner with fam
Hang with the fam
Sleep

Unless it's the weekend then the whole day is just composed of eating. But on Sundays, there's an hour mass at 5 pm. Yay. What an interesting life.

Dead Appliances

My dvd player and fan died. They're not working anymore. Sadness. It's probably because I have my fan on all the time 'cause I'm always hot even if it's winter. I blame the dorm heat gods---I wouldn't have to have my fan on all the time if the heat wasn't on so high that I have to wear shorts and a tank top indoors during winter. But, now that it's spring and the weather is warmer for Illinois standards, I'm extra hot. In more ways than one might I add. So, this leaves me sweaty and gross...and wanting to sit bra-less in an air conditioned library where I can't even watch any of my dvds over and over again. Not that I would do that in my room 'cause my dvd player isn't working either. Gah!

Insomnia

Freakin' a. I can't sleep. I was sleepy at 10:30 p.m. and then I slept for a good 5 minutes and woke up. Grr. Now, I don't know what to do again 'cause everyone's sleeping. Boo med school peeps boo.

My Brain Hurts

Physio exam 3 is finally over and I'm FREE to do whatever!!! Well, at least for today. Things in my mind after a physio exam:

1. Should I go and buy shoes?
2. I'm kinda sleepy, but I slept early last night. Should I take a nap?
3. I'm kinda hungry.
4. It's Holy Thursday. Hrm..how to be holy?
5. I don't know what to do now!
6. My blog needs better entries...really.

Disoriented

I woke up this morning thinking it's Friday and I missed my 7:30 am exam. I really hate it when that happens. First I gasp, then my heart starts pounding, then I have to think what the hell is today?! How can I turn off my alarm without hearing it?! Then, I have to think what yesterday was to figure out what today is and then I just give up and check a calendar. Whew! Thank goodness today is Thursday.

Geese Who

The geese in my school are nesting, again. My friend Samer and I almost got attacked yesterday while walking to class. The male goose was squaking, flapping its wings and charging right at us and what do I do? Freakin' stand there and cover my ears. Great. If I ever get attacked by someone I'll just stand there and cover my ears. It was a good thing that the goose was closer to Samer than me.

Sweat Drips, Blue Lips

So, last week was my first week back since winter break. If you want to really know what happened during Christmas, you should either call me or read Cheese's blog. Anyways, so last week was the first week I was back in school. I think I had a cold from the babies I visited last Christmas or real bad allergies or something. My first day back was Wednesday and my anatomy groupies and I were dissecting Minnie (our cadaver) and then Gerald says, "Wow. You must not be feeling so good." And, I'm like, "Why?" He's like, "You're sweating profusely." And I touch my forehead and my neck and I was sweating like Ballzee would on a normal day. That's a lot if you don't know. I just remember being really, really HOT. (In more ways than one, of course) I kept telling myself no blue lips, no blue lips. So what'd I get? Sweaty. At least I didn't faint this time. This story has no point whatsoever.

But, before I forget, I'd like to make a shout out to The Duddy: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :) YAY.

Pluck You Eyebrow

Whenever my eyebrows become an eyebrow I get them threaded down the street in pseudo-little-India. It's not the same as Ziba in South Coast Plaza in CA where there's a ton of people going and there's a long line. But, at least it's a dollar cheaper. Anyway, I had a point...everytime I go there I'm like the only non-Indian person there and I'm not even sure if the person who does my eyebrows (Shailu or something) speaks English. We have these one word conversations...thanks. Eyebrows. Please. Yeah. Good? Perfect. Bye!

The first time I went there I think they were surprised to see a non-Indian person there. They were like, You Indian? No. Mexican. No. Then, when I tell them I'm Filipino they go, Ah, Filipino! I smile and then they look at me with the how-do-you-know-about-us look. Oh well. Whateva. What's important is that they do a good job and I'd do anything to have attractive eyebrowS.

Bulls Balls

To the cousins in California: you guys would be so jealous to know that I went to the Bulls game against Orlando Magic last Tuesday :) Yay. I took pictures and video clips with my phone, ate the nachos, drank the drinks, and oh yeah, watched the game. That's it. I know nothing about basketball. I just wanted to post a blurb about it. Yay.

Peas Four Gimme

Please forgive me for the lack of posts lately. There hasn't been very many things that I can post to the public. Sadness. But, I'm back at home again. YAY! The weather is nice...not too hot and not too cold. And, the sun shines everyday :) It makes me happy. Here's a quick update of the things I've done lately:

On Friday, November 18th I got home at around 7:30 p.m. and family & I ate dinner at the Santa Rosalia Robel's house and we watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was gooood. You people should watch it if you haven't seen it. But, I felt like the movie was rushing through the story & there wasn't enough character development. Maybe they should've gone for three hours of the movie like LOTR did. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is still a better movie, but I as a book, my fave is the Goblet of Fire.

On Saturday was TJ's wedding. She was soooo gorgeous! Her dress was very vintage classic. And her bridesmaids all had different gown styles, but same color --- dusty rose. It was a real cute and simple wedding. And, she cried while saying her vows. Aw. I never expected TJ to cry. But, TJ if you're reading this, you never cease to surprise me! You were my going out buddy in college. I thought we were on the same boat, but now you're off to another one. I don't even know if I'm on a freakin' boat right now. Hehe.

Anyways, also on Saturday, my cousin Christopher surprised us and came over our side of the country. 'Twas fun just hanging out and doing nothing. We ate Chinese food with him on Sunday AFTER I ate a full meal of pizza and pie! I love pie! I was totally experiencing food coma around the afternoon, but woke up when the cousins said they wanted to go to the beach. It was fun taking pictures. I'll post them when I get back to Illinois.

Monday, my friend Beverlie & I got sushi! MMmmmmmMmm. Suuuushi. I heart sushi. And, then we got some books at Barnes & Noble. That's all I'm going to say. Knowledge is POWER!

I don't remember what I did on Tuesday. I think I was just bumming it. Oh, I took Lola (Grandma) to the doctor and they did some neuro tests on her sciatic nerve. It was cool I thought. I'm a nerd like that, I know.

And, my boring life brings us to now..Wednesday. All I did today was eat In n' Out burgers with Hannah (Mownz). I'm going to see another movie tonight. Maybe Harry Potter again??? But, RENT and Pride & Prejudice is out too. I'd love to see RENT, but I don't know if it'll be as good as the musical. And, as for Pride & Prejudice, I dunno about that movie without Colin Firth (the original Mr. Darcy). They totally mis-casted Lizzie...she's suppose to be plain not real pretty like Keira Knightly. Sigh. People get it right! I still wanna see it though.

It's Freakin' HOT in Illinois

It's soooo HOT here and humid and nasty! I'm sensing that I'm starting to smell like stinky socks and moth balls once again. It's not cute. And then, to top it all off...the bed bugs are back. Some spider or moth or something bit me last night. Now, I have at least seven red dots on my right foot and one on my left leg. I wanna talk to that bug and say, "What's so special about the right leg huh?! I take showers!"

To get away from the heat, I drove my bra-less self to the home of centralized air conditioning...the library (a five minute walk). I'd walk around nekkid if I had to, but I don't wanna traumatize people. Anyway, it was really boring to just sit there. Especially when people are not around yet 'cause it's only the first week of school, but I'd do anything for air conditioning.
